How to Quote intelligently?

The key to getting an accurate quote is giving the electrician the information that they need to cost out a job. Before doing that, think about what you need. Sometimes it’s obvious, like when a repair is needed. Other times especially when there are multiple options available, like when installing A/C systems, they are more complicated. The principles however are the same – give the electrician as much information as you can. For instance give as many measurements, room dimensions, power requirements, tell them whether there is existing electrical wiring, anything you think the electrician will need to know to give an accurate quote.
